We never see your calendar.

Presently is a calendar app for the Mac, made by Blue Tomato Studio LLC. This page says what it reads, where anything goes, and what we keep. The short version: we don't have a server that sees your calendar, there's no Presently account, and nothing in the app tracks you.
What Presently reads
Apple Calendar
When you allow it, Presently reads the events in Apple Calendar on your Mac, and changes them when you edit something in Presently. That includes every account you've added to your Mac, such as iCloud or Exchange. This all happens on your Mac. Nothing is sent over the internet for it.
Google Calendar
If you add a Google account, you sign in with Google in your browser, and Presently then talks to Google directly. It asks for three permissions:
- See and edit your events so you can add, move and answer events from Presently.
- See your list of calendars so Presently can show each one and give it its own text color.
- Your email address so Presently can tell your Google accounts apart.
Your Google sign-in is saved in your Mac's Keychain, where your Mac keeps passwords. Your events are saved in a file on your Mac so the app opens instantly. None of it is sent to us.
Presently's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Presently uses your Google data only to show and change your own calendar on your own Mac. It is never sold, never used for ads, and never read by people.
Your location, if you turn it on
Location is off until you turn it on in Settings. With it on, Presently uses it for two things: to work out the drive to events that have an address, and to match the colors of the day to your own sunrise and sunset. With it off, Presently guesses your sunrise and sunset from your time zone, and doesn't tell you when to leave.
Who else sees anything

What we keep
Nothing. There's no Presently account, nothing that tracks how you use it, no crash reports sent to us, and no ads. We can't see your calendar, your location or your Google account, because none of it ever reaches us.
This website
presentlycal.com is a plain website hosted by GitHub. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you, and loads nothing from other companies, not even its fonts. It picks its colors from the time zone your browser reports. That happens on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere. GitHub may keep a record of visits, including internet addresses, for security; GitHub's privacy statement covers them.
Removing your data
- To remove a Google account, open Settings › Calendars and press Remove next to it. Its calendars leave Presently, and nothing changes in Google. You can also remove its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- To remove everything, quit Presently and move it to the Trash. Then open Finder, choose Go › Go to Folder, paste ~/Library/Application Support/Presently, and move that folder to the Trash too.
Children
Presently isn't made for children under 13. It collects nothing from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change means Presently sends something new anywhere, we'll also say so in the notes that come with that update.
